Into the Woods at Bridge Theatre is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical about the Baker, the Baker’s Wife, the Witch, Jack, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella and Rapunzel. It brings these fairy-tale characters together as they move beyond happy ever after and discover what really matters.
The story asks why each character goes into the woods: to sell the cow, lift the spell, visit mother, see the king, or perhaps to find themselves. It combines familiar figures with a story that shifts from wishes and quests into more complicated territory.
Captioned performance: Friday 30 January, 19:30. Audio Described & Touch Tour: Saturday 21 February, 14:30.
