About High Society

High Society at the Barbican Centre is Cole Porter’s musical comedy about the society wedding of the year, where old flames, new flames and a sharp-eyed tabloid reporter turn the occasion into a story of scandal at a waterfront estate.

The production features Helen George as Tracy Lord, alongside Felicity Kendal, a 28-strong cast and a full-size orchestra. The score includes Cole Porter songs such as Just One Of Those Things, Let’s Misbehave, I Love Paris, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?, Well, Did you Evah and True Love.

Key facts: the running time is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, including a 20-minute interval. The production is by a multi award-winning creative team including Rachel Kavanaugh and choreographer Anthony Van Laast.
