

High Society at the Barbican Centre is Cole Porter’s musical about a society wedding that descends into chaos at a waterfront estate. Old flames, new flames and a sharp-eyed tabloid reporter all become part of the story as the celebrations unravel.
The production features a full-size orchestra and a 28-strong cast, with a score drawn from Cole Porter’s songbook. Songs include Just One Of Those Things, Let’s Misbehave, I Love Paris, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?, Well, Did you Evah and True Love. It is brought together by a multi award-winning creative team, including Rachel Kavanaugh and choreographer Anthony Van Laast.
Running time: Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, including a 20-minute interval.

Helen George stars as Tracy Lord, with Felicity Kendal also appearing in the production. Julian Ovenden is listed in the cast. On Wed 1 and Fri 3 July, Helen George will not appear and her role will be played by an understudy. Felicity Kendal is not scheduled to perform the matinee on Thu 9 July. Julian Ovenden is not scheduled to perform on Sat 20 June in either the matinee or evening performance.
