About

About My Son’s A Queer (But What Can You Do?)

My Son’s A Queer (But What Can You Do?) is at Shaftesbury Ave, Soho, London W1D 7EZ. This autobiographical show from West End Musical Theatre star and social-media sensation Rob Madge revisits a childhood attempt to stage a full Disney parade at home for their Grandma.

Rob recreates the parade and the family effort behind it, with wigs, costumes and characters including Mary Poppins, Ariel, Mickey Mouse and Belle. In the original version, Dad was cast as Stage Manager, Sound Technician and Goofy, while Mum mistook Aladdin for Ursula and the parade did not quite go to plan.

The show was awarded Best Off-West End Production 2022 by WhatsOnStage.

Running time: 1 hour 5 minutes.
