I'm Sorry, Prime Minister at Nimax Theatres is the long-awaited final chapter of British political satire from BAFTA Award-winning co-creator Jonathan Lynn. Jim Hacker, played by Griff Rhys Jones, returns hoping for a quiet retirement at Hacker College, Oxford, but soon finds himself dealing with a college committee and a very different kind of crisis.
Sir Humphrey Appleby, played by Clive Francis, is back as well, bringing his familiar love of bureaucracy, Latin phrases and obstruction. The story puts Jim, Humphrey, the students, the Fellowship and reality itself into another round of political manoeuvring, in the world of Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister.
The production brings together political comedy, nostalgia and the series’ familiar style of wit and doublespeak, with the final chapter of the story set against modern college life.
