Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain (2026) at the Apollo Theatre is the return of Barmy Britain – the best bits, bringing Horrible Histories to the stage in a live show for the whole family this summer.
The show takes a lively look at British history, with Boudicca, King John, the Magna Carta, the plague, Guy Fawkes, Dick Turpin, Burke and Hare, and Queen Victoria all part of the story. It presents “the nasty bits left in” and turns them into a fast-moving history show for the stage.
This is a theatre production running across the summer season, with a performance style that is designed to be accessible for audiences on the day noted below.
