The Comedy About Spies comes to the Adelphi Theatre, Strand, London, as Mischief’s 1960s spy comedy returns for a limited 8-week run in London’s West End. Following a sold-out 2025 summer season, it won Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026.

When a rogue British agent steals plans for a top-secret weapon, CIA and KGB spies converge on London’s Piccadilly Hotel in search of the missing file. The story follows a clueless young couple, a hapless actor hoping for a spy film role, and a tangle of double agents, confused missions and mistaken identities.

Created by the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, this production places the mix-ups and miscommunication at the centre of the action.

Duration: 2 hours and 20 minutes, including a 20-minute interval.
