The Comedy About Spies is playing at the Adelphi Theatre, London, in the West End. Mischief’s spy comedy returns for a limited 8-week run, following a sold-out 2025 summer season, and was named Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026.

The story begins when a rogue British agent steals plans for a top-secret weapon, bringing CIA and KGB spies to London’s Piccadilly Hotel in search of the missing file. A clueless young couple, a hapless actor hoping for a spy film role, and a crowd of double agents create a 1960s espionage plot driven by tangled identities and miscommunication.

It comes from the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery.

Key facts: Running time 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 20-minute interval. Age recommendation 10+. Children under 4 will not be admitted.
