The Comedy About Spies at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End is Mischief’s spy comedy set in 1960s London. When a rogue British agent steals plans for a top-secret weapon, CIA and KGB spies converge on the Piccadilly Hotel, where a clueless young couple and a hapless actor hoping for a spy film role are drawn into the confusion.
The show returns for a limited 8-week run this summer, following a sold-out 2025 summer season. It was named Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026 and comes from the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery.
Presented as a breathless spy escapade, the story is built around double agents, tangled identities and repeated miscommunication as the mission gets steadily more out of control.
Running time: 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 20-minute interval.
Age guidance: Recommended for ages 10+. Children under 4 will not be admitted into the theatre.
Tickets and refunds: No exchanges or refunds.
