About The Comedy About Spies

The Comedy About Spies is at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End for a limited eight-week run. It follows a sold-out 2025 summer season and brings Mischief’s spy comedy back to the stage.

Set in the 1960s, the story begins when a rogue British agent steals plans for a top-secret weapon. CIA and KGB spies converge on London’s Piccadilly Hotel in pursuit of the file, alongside a clueless young couple, a hapless actor seeking a spy film role, and a number of double agents.

The show comes from Mischief, the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, and won Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026.

Key facts: Running time is 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 20 minute interval.

This show is recommended for ages 10+. Children under the age of 4 will not be admitted into the theatre. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
