About

SONIC BLUE play exciting, funky R&B and blues, with a highly experienced line-up of four musicians who have played at every level from tours to festivals, theatres and clubs.

The new album SHAKE THE BLUES, released on the APM Record label had been getting great reviews and radio play, featuring six originals and four imaginative interpretations of songs by artists such as Jimmy Reed and Jimmy Witherspoon. The album features guest contributions from Mississippi MacDonald on guitar, Tim Richards on keyboards, Richard Martin on sax & Sarah Brown on vocals.

With inspired vocals, guitar and blues harp from Steve Brayne (Southern Aces, The Fox), the exciting lead and slide guitars of Matt Withey (The Dylan Experience) and the super-tight rhythm section of Richard Marcangelo on drums (Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Desmond Dekker) and Simon Edwards on bass (Fairground Attraction, Billy Bragg), the band bring an exciting and driving feel to the blues.

The recent single re-mix of Up All Night from their album, featuring a stunning soulful collaboration with Sister Zadie, has been getting excellent air time on blues and rock radio.

'One of Britain's more accomplished blues bands - they are the real deal!' Rock'n'Reel Magazine.

'Strongly recommended!' Blues in Britain

Sonic Blue are delighted to be supporting Eamonn McCormack at the 100 Club, along with The Snake Oil Band.

Get ready for this hot night of blues and R&B!
