The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind at Soho Place is a new musical based on the true story of William Kamkwamba. Set on a family farm facing drought, it follows William as he tries to build a windmill using library books and scraps of old machinery.
This world premiere is based on William Kamkwamba’s memoir and Chiwetel Ejiofor’s film. It is directed by Lynette Linton, with book and lyrics by Richy Hughes and music and lyrics by Tim Sutton.
