

Tao Of Glass at 4 Soho Place, Charing Cross Road, London is a West End premiere that explores life, loss and the question of where true inspiration comes from. Created by composer Philip Glass and performer-director Phelim McDermott, it is their most personal collaboration yet.
Inspired by a dream, the production combines ten meditations on life, death and Taoist wisdom with ten new pieces of music by Glass. It is presented by McDermott with an ensemble of musicians and puppeteers, and described as part-concert, part-performance with storytelling at its core.
The production is produced by Factory International, Improbable and Nica Burns. Reviews quoted include five stars from The Guardian, The Times and What’s On Stage, with four stars from The Telegraph, The Observer and The Arts Desk.
