I liked the idea of a big Harry Potter quiz so thought it would make for a good date night. Sadly my partner was ill but considering the cost of the tickets (overpriced) I thought I should go anyway. 

Was very disappointed to find it was a quiz to be done on phones rather than pen and paper and was just happy I had charged my phone before leaving work otherwise I wouldn't have been able to fully take part. I was also surprised to find it was multiple choice questions and even more disappointed to discover how easy they were. I thought something called "The Ultimate" Harry Potter quiz would actually be challenging.

I was happy with the music selection, being a fan of cheesy pop, but it would have been nice to hear more music from the film soundtracks to create a more magical atmosphere.

The MC was very enthusiastic which I appreciated but the question master did not seem to be a Harry Potter "fan" as they struggled to pronounce names or spells which any real fan would have no problem with. 

Early on there was a confusing question as the quizmaster read out "what is the name of the Knightbus Conductor?" yet the question on our screens asked who the driver was,  2 completely different things. Due to this error, everyone was awarded a point. 

Then a question which made no sense at all . Regarding the 6th book, "Who is the Hogwarts Quidditch Captain?" And answers provided were each of the Weasley twins, Cormac McLaggen and a 4th character. 
1) It is not possible to have a Hogwarts captain as there are 4 houses, not 1 Hogwarts team
2) The "correct" answer was Cormac McLaggen. Cormac McLaggen tried out for Keeper for Gryffindor and did not make the team due to being confunded in the try outs.
3) When McLaggen did make it in to the team as a replacement for Ron, he was not Captain, just Keeper.
Due to this total error, I left the question unanswered thinking it was trick question of some sort, this resulted in costing me a point.

Later a technical error resulted in no-one being able to answer a particular question because it was automatically marked wrong within a second.

I was told by one of the hosts that they did not write the questions, but a "professional" had done them who also writes questions for popular tv quiz shows. It seemed more like they had just been copy and pasted from the internet.

Overall, nice idea, likeable hosts and prizes but the actual quiz was over priced and disappointing
