About
Authentic, poetic, and fresh, Women of Folk brings together three emerging female singer-songwriters. From intimate and reflective lyrics to driving electric folk, their music widely captivates and connects with audiences.
Singer-songwriter Maddie Lara from Merseyside is creating ethereal folk music with dreamy, story-driven lyrics. Her unique sound combines atmospheric textures and reverb-laden vocals.
Chérie Nova, formerly known as 'Samya'. This new alias marks an evolution in sound-deeply reflective and emotionally resonant. Blending her cultural roots (French/Algerian) with modern rhythms, Chérie Nova creates music that transcends borders, offering a fresh yet familiar experience.
Maria draws from both traditional and contemporary folk, creating a blend of introspective lyrics, intricate acoustic guitar, and mellow vocals. Her music holds an honest quality, which she shared through the release of her debut EP 'Journal Pages' in May 2025.
