About

Tuesday 12th December

TURNSPIT [HEADLINE]

Turnspit are described as 'long-bodied, crooked-legged and ugly dogs with a suspicious and unhappy look about them.'

Debut performance of experimental electronic duo with dark lo-fi beats and lucid poetic vocals.

KIOSK

An aliencore art-punk three piece, originally crash landed in Roswell in 1947, now based in Leeds. Their alien origins are present in their explosive art-pop sound, also featuring some sweeter earthly influences from the cutting edge of the UK new music scene. Like Jockstrap + Deerhoof + those worms from Men in Black 2.

DRAAGS

Experimental cross-genre collective creating music and art that serves as political reaction and sci-fi escapism.

BOPIT

Debut performance from experimental electro artcore duo combining comedic improvisation, obscure sounds and club beats.

+ DJ Santes

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT!

Space Raiders connects, documents and promotes art, music, activism, spaces and people. We are a DIY magazine and promoter and want to aid in transforming the way gig spaces are experienced. Combining live events and exhibitions, online archiving and physical zines, we're bringing together like minded creatives in the scene. We want to cultivate community, join the dots with social activism and create safe spaces where  people can freely express themselves.

The government is trying to limit our rights, our ability to enjoy art & music, connect with one another, educate ourselves and speak out in protest.

Space Raiders has had enough!!! We all have!!!

Space Raiders aims to reclaim space, by connecting with local & DIY venues, making our events inclusive, giving voice to important social issues and activism and representing artists that put out a strong message and need to be heard!

Dress up! Don’t let the drones get you down! Have a dance in this strange world and raid the space!!!
