monster supergroup of Scottish talent.

headline shows in 2025. Their debut show at
the Oran Mor 29/1, as part of Celtic
Connections, and second sell out at Stereo
22/7. As well as a slew of festival
appearances including Electric Picnic, C2C & headlining a stage at
Eden festival.
The Great Pleasure began with Marc Molloy
& Gillian Christie, writing songs and travelling
the world, getting caught up in all sorts of
mischief.
Run-ins with the Thai mafia in Bangkok, Hell's
angels in the Netherlands and finding
themselves in the middle of dreamy
performances in Interscope records private
club on Sunset boulevard, Los Angeles, was an
alchemic source of inspiration for a pair of
excitement seeking songwriters.
Live show
The band was formed with an unexpected
debut at Irelands biggest festival, Electric
Picnic, after a demo of an old song 'Swamp
folk' caught some traction in music circles.
They were offered a slot with only a months
notice and hastily put together a band and hit
the road.
The gig was a smash hit, "one of the best
acts they'd had on the stage" according to
the production team, and the band had an
immediate chemistry.
It made sense to hit the studios and capture
some of that magic. The spent the following
year recording their debut album at 45-a-side
studios with Paul McInally with an incredible
band of Scottish musical talent.
