Jack Borrill & The 'IT' Band

Following the release of his debut EP, Jack Borrill is headlining McChuill's with a full band, supported by Steph Wood and Midnight Painters.

Jack Borrill is a Glasgow-based alternative folk artist, combining rich instrumentation with confessional lyricism. His previous work as a member of The Joy Hotel was recently shortlisted for a Scottish Album of the Year Award, cementing his place within Glasgow's thriving alternative music scene.His self-produced debut EP "Writing Songs Was Cheaper Than Therapy (At First)' showcases both his stylistic range and emotional honesty as a songwriter.

Formed at the end of 2023, Midnight Painters is comprised of Aoibhinn Sweeney from Omagh, Ireland and Anthony Madden from Glasgow, Scotland. They quickly became known for their unique approach to songwriting and their ability to create a rich, layered sound despite their minimalistic setup. Whether playing stripped-down indie-folk or upbeat tunes, their harmonies—perfectly intertwined—transport listeners to a place where every note feels personal and the lyrics resonate deeply. Their debut EP, ‘Midnight Painters: Volume One’ is out now!

Steph Wood is a singer-songwriter who crafts intimate stories of life, love, and heartache through her introspective blend of indie-folk and Americana. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, she now calls Glasgow home.
