"A fantastic young band with lots of potential" - Steve Lamacq, BBC 6Music
Pentire are an indie band who make pop songs for the post-jangle generation through the smiles and sweat of the mosh pit. This Herefordshire four-piece tell cheap lager-soaked stories of student life, a small-town upbringing, and the innocence of youth.
Brought up on a diet of The Killers, Paolo Nutini and Stereophonics, frontman and principal songwriter Jack formed a band with his best mate Owen in the sleepy town of Ross-on-Wye. The two friends met drummer Jake and bass player Jacob whilst at university, which cemented the four-piece that is now selling out venues across the UK.
The band had a landmark year in 2023. Pentire toured nationally with hot new bands milk. and LARKINS, smashed their own UK headline tour and launched a new EP ‘Now In A Minute’, with all 3 of their latest singles supported by Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1’s influential Future Sounds show.
