Casual Drag, Grogg & Vexations at Leith Depot
Garage-punks Casual Drag hit Leith Depot to mark the release of their latest single 'The Talk'.
Supported by Glasgow garage rock trio Grogg and Edinburgh off-kilter post-punk outfit Vexations.
Snarling vocals over feral guitar riffs, backed by pounding drums and bass - Scottish garage punk three-piece Casual Drag have earned a reputation as a must-see live band through a series of packed and frenetic shows across the UK.
There is a drive and energy embedded within their music, raw and edgy with twisted riffs and crashing drums. Their standout brand of clattering garage-rock has led to support slots with Joe Talbot of IDLES, Frankie & the Witch Fingers, Flat Worms, Meryl Streek and Bass Drum of Death.
Glasgow's newest garage rock upstarts Grogg have already cemented their place as a mainstay of the city's scene and they make their Edinburgh debut at the Depot. Their debut EP received praise and support from BBC Radio Introducing, Snack Mag and Glide.
One of Edinburgh finest new bands - Vexations bring a high energy, emphatic, off-kilter and distorted wall of sound experience that contorts the senses and captures that feeling we all have that something just isn't quite right.
