The Indie Night

After the huge success of the first two 'Indie Nights' we'd like to invite you to our third headline event at 'The Hairy Dog' where we are continuing to support the best new indie music from across the UK!

We've got 5 exciting artists playing this headline event at one of Derby's best music venues... so if you love going to a gig and discovering the next big thing or great new bands to follow and support then this is the night for you!

This time we have got a mixture of bands from across the East Midlands and some superb artists all of the way down from Manchester, Liverpool and beyond which will no doubt make for a great night! 

Here at 'The Indie Night' we are all about promoting up and coming new music and making money for good causes. Unlike other promoters we don't make any money from these events, we are doing it for the love of new music...so after all of the bands are paid any profits left go to  charity, which is currently 'Embrace CVOC' who support child victims of crime with the wonderful work they do and we are proud to be working alongside of them to make a difference.

Since starting these nights we've been overwhelmed by the huge positive response we've had from gig goers, new music, indie lovers and fanatics alike! We've also been inundated with bands all keen to play our nights and are trying desperately to squeeze them all into our live events! Trust us when we say these nights are going to grow and get bigger and better at the home of The Indie Night - The Hairy Dog!

We're also pleased to say we are associated with 'Love Derby' and 'ND Festival' - some of the festival organisers will be at our live events to tell you more. Grab a ticket for this event and the festival to make it a full weekend of music!

The Chase - Not The F*cking Game Show! Metropolitan and melodic, The Chase's music is a blend of cultural influences that pays tribute to their council estate roots. In the space of a few short years, the five piece have amassed a dedicated fan base that has propelled them into the stratosphere of the UK indie music scene. The lads have been tipped as one of the biggest breakthrough bands on the scene by press, promoters, radio & anyone who see's them live.

Alex Spencer - First discovered whilst busking on the streets of Manchester, new Indie talent Alex Spencer has already been hailed as one of the UK's most promising songwriters at just 16 years old. Combining infectious guitar lines with his street savvy voice and coming-of-age tales of youthful exuberance... 

The Denabys - They hail from Denaby, a former mining town on the outskirts of Doncaster. Musically the band describe themselves as 'high energy and catchy' and we absolutely love them! Their latest single 'Talk of the Town' is an absolute belter and has to be heard live.

Str^nge - Emerging from Liverpool these are not your typical band; they have no intention of following mainstream formulas... they play material that is inherently and authentically their's. Their Spotify bio reads - 'All songs herein have been created under the influence.' Check out 'Plane to Krakow' and if you don't book tickets to see these on the strength of that track alone, we'll be very surprised!

The Hilder -  'The Yorkshire born quartet are so far proving their ability to write energetic anthems that all beautifully combine the use of driven drums, strong bass, intricate guitar, sparkling synths and addictive melodies.' (Spotify Bio)

On the night we also have a raffle with loads of cool prizes and signed merch, followed by an after party at Seymour's Bar where we have a singer on playing all of the indie classics to sing the rest of night away and cap off what will have been a brilliant night of good music, in a great venue and amongst good like minded company!
