A daytime party with djs and percussionists. A safe space for people to come and dance to great music and socialise in an all inclusive environment.

The daytime party revolution continues. Following on from the unprecedented success of KD1 and KD2 we have the third big party. This midsummers event will be outdoors, with full sound system and djs all set up in the outdoor terrace. The djs will be bringing you the best in original disco, soul, funk and the most sublime house music influenced by those genres.&#160; Four djs and two percussionists will be keeping you entertained .&#160; We have a contingency plan if the weather isn&#8217;t on our side, so we&#8217;ll have you covered no matter what. Nothing will stop Kitchen Disco going ahead in all its glory.

How can I possibly do justice to an event so joyous, so heart-warming and so life affirming with just my mere words? 

The answer is I probably can't - but I'll try!

Kitchen Disco 3 Once again ensured The Beer Emporium Bottle Bank bar in the tiny village of Holmes Chapel in Cheshire felt like the centre of the universe once again.

We expected to dance to great music, we expected to enjoy flowing drinks and great food and we expected to be with fabulous like-minded friends and KD3 not only met those expectations but it surpassed them with flying colours!

Buoyed by the success of their first two shows, Husband and wife organisers Steven 'Stretch' Carroll and Helen 'Jenno' Jennings decided to host their first outdoor event and things couldn't have worked out better in their dreams.

All DJs were on point and their choice of music, served over two DJ stints during the event, had everyone up and dancing right from the start with the momentum building and building all the way to the final song nine hours later!

Greg Evans was first on deck duty, having experienced the KD experience as a punter, and he set the tone from the very first tune. 

His infectious smile and obvious joy at what he was doing seeped through the songs and into the crowd meaning we couldn't have a better start to proceedings.

Next up was the genius that is Richie J - a mainstay of all Kitchen Discos to date. 

What this man doesn't know about disco or funk or soul or house or...well, any kind of music probably isn't worth knowing so there was no way he was going to struggle to find the tunes that would have us all screaming howls of worship as he played them.

And then came an extra special treat - Jenno made her DJ debut in front of a packed crowd and absolutely nailed it. 

Sure, there was a nervous, tentative start probably not helped by us gawping at her expectantly as soon as she started but this girl is the embodiment of a kitchen disco and her choice of tunes were spot on!

Finally, a reunion of the Bleu Light Special featuring the uber cool DJing legends Stretch and Pete Smallwood. 
As big fans of theirs, I know they'd smash it. 

For good measure, Pete even showed he can sing note perfect on top of all his obvious talents with a big band cover of Oasis' Wonderwall!

Away from the dance floor, the incredible bar staff were on point all day and got into the spirit of things by joining in. 

As did the catering company serving up tasty pizzas throughout the day. 

I haven't even mentioned the seriously talented trumpeter who was the cherry on the musical cake!

Of course, the event was set up to raise money for the charity Mind and tears were shed for loved ones no longer with us as we fondly remembered them.

My aching limbs are recovering, my cheeks have recovered from all the smiling and laughing and my voice is starting to return to normal. 

But the glow of a truly special day amongst friends I love is still going strong all these days later! 

I can't wait for the next one!

Another fantastic event - great atmosphere and a fabulous crowd. Brilliant music, happy smiley faces. Big thanks to the organisers and DJs - roll on the next one :-)

Fantastic daytime event at a great venue . Staff were amazing and atmosphere was fabulous, friendly and a mix of ages . 
4 DJs  and percussion created an amazing vibe can't wait to book for kitchen disco 4 all for a great cause too MIND.Org
