What's Your Story, Chorley? will be back this March, celebrating all things storytelling! From family activities, comedy, workshops, comic con, literature, poetry, and so much more there'll be something for everyone across a variety of events taking place this March.

Poetry Workshop with Louise Fazackerley:

An adults only, two hour poetry workshop to support and develop creative writing skills. Taking place at Astley Hall Coach House from 2pm-4pm on Saturday 21 March. 

Poetry Open Mic Night with headliner Louise Fazackerley:

An evening of live poetry performances featuring local writers, competition winners and headlined by poet and performer Louise Fazackerley. 

Jodie Ounsley book event: 

Join usfor what promises to be an empowering event with the former England Rugby player, dedicated champion of deaf representation in sports, and 'Fury' from the hit show Gladiators, Jodie Ounsley, to celebrate her positive, practical new guide-for-life, Strong Girls!

Jodie will be telling her story and talking about her inspirational children’s books to award-winning children’s author Jen Carney(The Accidental Diary of BUG, The Day My Dog Got Famous).

During this special event, you will hear all about Jodie’s bestselling children’s guide Keep Smashing It, including Jodie’s top tips on bravery and confidence. Jodie will then introduce her motivational new guide Strong Girls, in which she shares advice on how to get physically and mentally strong - as well as how to be strong for others. There will be some inspiring activities, a Q&A, and you’ll also have an opportunity to get your book signed by Jodie Ounsley.

Step into a world where heroes, villains and fandoms collide. Chorley’s first ever Comic Con brings comics, cosplay, gaming, film and pop culture together under one roof. Discover exclusive merch, strike a pose and celebrate the stories you love – bigger, bolder and better than ever. Explore trade stands, special guests and compete in the cosplay competitions.
