Middle Class Guilt + More

Middle Class Guilt are a six-piece band based in Glasgow. Formed by four
Shetlanders, the group featured a variety of members before settling on the current
line-up in 2022 and releasing their debut album 'The Committee' in January 2025.
The band have played sold out shows in cities such as Glasgow, Edinburgh,
Aberdeen and Berlin as well as two well received shows in Manchester. They have
been featured in national press having previously been The Scotsman's Artist of the
Week with the same paper reviewing 'The Committee' positively.
The band take the influences and interests of all six members and blend them into a
unique and cohesive whole. In their sound you will hear the influence of the driven
and repetitive rhythm of The Fall, the guitar interplay of Television, and off-kilter
melodies inspired by a variety of pop music and traditional Shetland music. The
band's recent work also makes use of medley/cut and paste style song structures.
Lyrically, the songs take inspiration from the writing of Bohumil Hrabal, among
others.
