About

AYRIA

Electro-ebm-dark-dance-industrial act Ayria was formed in 2003 by Canadian singer-

songwriter Jennifer Parkin. For two decades now, listeners have been hooked on her driving

bass synths, addictive stompy beats, melancholic vocals and unapologetically feminine

aesthetic. In 2022, AYRIA released her sixth full-length album and Artoffact Records debut,

This is my Battle Cry signalling the beginning of a brand new era, showcasing a slick-more

mature sound while still giving a nod to AYRIA’s previous ear-candy laced works. The album

features 10 new tracks including the addictively catchy songs “Stranger Danger”, “No One

Asked You” and the intensely dark title track “Battle Cry”. The Battle Cry tour has included

legs in the USA, UK and will hit Canada later this year before Ayria plans the next music

release.

UK Touring quote: Jennifer Parkin of Ayria

“2023 marked the 20th anniversary of Ayria and after a long pandemic, I returned to the stage to tour my 6th full length release `This Is My Battle Cry’ and also to do a full retrospective playing tracks from every previous release. With a headlining slot at the Resistanz Festival in Sheffield, UK back in April, 2023, I was re-inspired and it motivated me to tour again and reach a live audience. Ayria then embarked on a 22 date USA leg of the Battle Cry tour back in October and November, 2023 and we are now planning a return to the UK for 8 more shows on this tour. The pandemic reminded me that life is too short and it's now or never. The UK has always been one of my favourite and most supportive markets to tour, and getting to hit the road with UK’s Inertia, who are one of my favourite touring partners is a real treat. Having done this touring combination in both 2014 and 2016 for the Paper Dolls tour, we knew we HAD to do it again as the combination brought something really special to audiences and works so well! I’m really looking forward to playing for the UK audiences again soon!”

INERTIA

The UK’s Inertia are back in 2024 with a brand new album and dates in the UK and USA. The band who are fronted by Reza Udhin (Killing Joke / Black Volition / The Devout), will be celebrating their 32nd anniversary in 2024 by releasing their 14th studio album ESTRANGED ICON.

It features the singles “New Format” Featuring Violins by Matt Howden from the band Sieben and “Scowl”, which featured guitars by KMFDM and PIG’s Steve White, the single peaked in the German Alternative Charts at number 2!
The band, who have embarked on 12 USA tours, plus several UK and European tours over the years, look forward to bringing their unique and energetic show to stages in 2024.

BLACK LIGHT ASCENSION

Black Light Ascension have been around in some form or another since 2011.The original album Ashes was a surprise underground hit, finding itself played in German clubs and festivals.
Through several line up changes the solid core of Andrew Trail (vocals guitar writing) and Hunter Barr (live loops, synth and very percussive riffing)

The following 3 albums, Post Future Recordings, The Austerity Exhibition (featuring another club hit Dark Angels, thanks a lot to the brilliant video by Gabriella Edvy)and Flesh Ghosts continued to show development in sound design, concept and execution. Live too, the two piece standing very front of stage, daring the audience to call them out, yet drawing them slowly in.

BLA have played the coveted Wave Gothic Treffen twice, the second time headlining one of the stages on Saturday night.
Post pandemic, post Brexi,t Black Light Ascension really felt driven to perform more to audiences all over the United Kingdom Despite the timing , it was surprisingly successful. Thanks to Reza from Inertia, BLA are set to do the same trick twice, but with the formidable presence of Ayria, this whole line up will be incendiary.
