THE BRACKISH (Bristol)

The Brackish are a 4-piece experimental band from Bristol, UK. First formed in 2012, the band have released five albums and are finalising their sixth.

Constantly evolving, the band draws inspiration from a wide range of musical influences, art, films, places and people.

The Brackish sound is characterised by its use of dynamics, long-form composition and improvisation. Face melting heavyness gives way to gentle, spacious soundscapes within a single composition. Kraut-like grooves, polyrhythms, violent melodic statements and psychedelic, freeform improvisation are present in equal measure. Always expressed with a strong emphasis on melody and narrative, aiming to take the listener on journeys of much needed escapism.

THE MOP COLLECTIVE (Canterbury)

Although previously thought to be permanently banished to an unknown realm, The Mop returns with its brand of dramatic, rhythmically-intense prog characterised by constantly shifting grooves, interwoven guitar textures, angular riffs, big theatrical choruses and female vocal.

The Mop presents songs of ever-shifting dynamics and colours – from a djent-infused story of navigating a brutal dystopian urban hellscape, to a string quartet-laden acoustic ballad of living with temporal superposition, to an unabashedly sincere love letter to Cardiacs.

With a brand new 3-guitar lineup bringing new songs (plus a ‘classic’ or two) ahead of a 2024 release, The Mop returns renewed and vital – and if dancing in 13/8 at 210bpm is your thing, have we got a treat for you

WILLIAM REES (Margate)

Founding member of Mystery Jets now embarking on a solo exploration, backing his lyrical song writing with an electric guitar and a loop pedal.

Come and enjoy yourself :)
