🔥HARD HEADED WOMEN II - BACK, BIGGER, BADDER, AND PACKED WITH EVEN MORE WOMEN LEADING FROM THE FRONT🔥
Rip It Up! proudly presents HARD HEADED WOMEN II, an all-day celebration of International Women's Day at The Night Owl, championing the fiercest women in modern rock'n'roll, rhythm & blues, garage, surf, punk and psychobilly.
After a huge debut, we return with an even more explosive female-fronted lineup featuring headline names, UK scene leaders and rising artists from across the underground.
🔥 LINEUP
Dani West (Wild Records) + Grand Union
A landmark moment for one of Wild Records' standout modern artists.
This is Dani West's first ever solo headline show, backed by Grand Union, the band who blew everyone away at our last event, X-Ray Cat Trio, and were snapped up instantly to join her. Dani arrives at The Night Owl just one month before headlining Thursday night at Viva Las Vegas, the world's biggest rockabilly weekender.
Sharna-Mae & The Mayhems
A high-octane rhythm & blues force with vintage swagger. Sharna-Mae has also previously performed at Viva Las Vegas, bringing soul, fire and pure charisma wherever she goes.
The Bitter Lemons
Birmingham's own wild garage rock'n'roll troublemakers. Fresh from a run of psychobilly festivals across the UK, The Bitter Lemons deliver raw rhythm & blues, punk grit and unapologetic attitude.
Joanna & The Dropouts
A fuzz-soaked hit of garage, surf and punk. Fronted by Joanna, all big curls, B-52s attitude and a baby-blue Fender, they've torn up everything from Brighton dive bars to the legendary 100 Club, and even hit Glastonbury's Croissant Neuf Stage in 2024.
Expect reverb, grit and pure rock'n'roll mischief.
Moonlight Sirens
A unique all-female five-piece blending songs from the 1920s-60s with sass, sophistication and a hint of sleaze. London's leading lights with a vintage-meets-modern sound guaranteed to bring crowds to the dancefloor.
The Latest Flames
A 1950s-inspired rhythm & blues, rock'n'roll and country duo fronted by Lola with Alexander (ex-Best Bad Influence) on guitar.
Soulful harmonies, golden-era warmth, and a fresh modern sparkle, joined onstage by their depping full band.
Guest DJ: Sunshine Cave
Frontwoman of Cave Girl and The Neandergals, Sunshine Cave embodies everything Rip It Up stands for, inclusion, individuality and pure rock'n'roll spirit.
Her DJ set at last year's Hard Headed Women was unforgettable, blending wild rock'n'roll, sleazy R&B, garage stompers and deep-cut gems.
She's back to do it all again.
Rip It Up Vinyl DJ Crew
All-night selections of rock'n'roll, rhythm & blues, sleaze, garage, surf and psychobilly.
