Back once again with the acid behaviour...
pH1:techno returns to Suki10c, bringing you our mix of pounding drums, screaming 303's, and general dancefloor related silliness...
For June we have something special - we are absolutely stoked to be welcoming one of the most exciting DJ's and producers on the scene right now - The Grovemeister General himself, BALROG.
Hailing from Leeds in the north of the UK, Balrog is an artist whose musical style focusses on combining heavy rolling percussion, funky stabs and synth, driving bass lines, and distorted vocals, all with an injection of industrial power. Developing a signature sound characterised as industrial groove techno, has seen Balrog release on highly regarded labels including Soma, Ear To Ground, HAVEN, Hydraulix, Crisis Of Man, Player, NAKT, Instruments Of Discipline, Moments In Time, Green Fetish. In 2019, Balrog also created his own imprint, Khazad Records, which provides a platform for him to release his own music as well as support up and coming talent. The industrial groove sound also characterises Balrog's high-energy DJ sets which have seen him headline events in New York, Berlin, London, Leeds, Manchester, Riga, Budapest, and Glasgow, playing at renowned clubs such as Tresor, FOLD, RSO and Mint Warehouse.
Support comes from ACIDIC BIOSOUNDS. From an early start mixing happy hardcore at the age of 14, he then discovered drum and bass, and by 18 was stomping to acid techno at free parties and the legendary Headcharge nights at Sheffield Arches. Sets with the Futurehood sound system soon followed, alongside others with party crews including the Northern Techno Alliance (NTA), So It Iz, Desert Storm and many others. Fast forward to the present day and Acidic Biosounds is back on the scene, and can be heard on La Freidora Radio on Soundcloud, as well as sets on The Techno Dimension Show and The TechnoDome.
Finishing the lineup will be your residents NoiseBoyRich & Teyuna - both bring their own take on the acid techno sound, from warehouse classics to the latest tunes form up and coming producers.
No sponsors, no tie-ins, no corporate. Reject the mainstream, come join the underground.
