About

Signing Off, The UK’s Ultimate Tribute to UB40, have just announced a huge show at
The Hare & Hounds, Kings Heath! On Saturday 12th June 2027, acclaimed UB40 tribute band Signing Off bring their authentic dub and reggae celebration to the legendary Hare & Hounds, Kings Heath — the iconic Birmingham venue where UB40 famously played their first show back in 1979.

Formed in 2014 by a group of dedicated musicians and lifelong UB40 fans, Signing Off has built a reputation for faithfully recreating the unmistakable live sound that defined UB40’s rise from Birmingham roots to global recognition. Making their live debut in 2016, the band has since become known for their deep respect for the source material and their attention to musical detail, delivering everything from the raw dub-heavy energy of the seminal Signing Off album through to later-era favourites from across UB40’s extensive catalogue.

While the setlist dives deep for the purists, Signing Off also connects with wider audiences through timeless hits such as ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘Kingston Town’, and ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’, blending authenticity with accessibility in a way that keeps crowds moving from start to finish.

Praised for their musicianship and their studied approach to recreating each member’s original role, Signing Off have even earned recognition from UB40’s guitarist Robin Campbell and drummer Jimmy Brown, both of whom have acknowledged the band’s long-standing passion and close connection to UB40’s legacy.

Expect a night of classic reggae rhythms, tight live arrangements, and a fitting celebration of one of Birmingham’s most influential musical exports, performed in the very city where it all began.

For accessibility enquiries & carer tickets, please read the accessibility document on the Hare & Hounds website.
