About

Not your typical wedding band!

2023 NI Wedding Award winning Funk ‘N’ Disorderly have taken the music scene by storm, entertaining crowds across the country with their musical prowess, fully live brass section and energetic stage shows.

Expertly blending classic funk/soul/disco & Motown hits with contemporary song choices, they are sure to captivate guests of every generation. Their use of flawless transitions and nonstop high-octane medleys are guaranteed to keep the dancefloor filled all night long!

Multi award-winning lead vocalist Sarah McVeigh has been performing professionally since graduating from the Ulster University with a first-class honours degree in music performance. Since joining Funk ‘N’ Disorderly in 2021 she has wowed audiences with her note perfect renditions of songs from artists such as Aretha Franklin & Diana Ross and in the words of the rest of the lads “added much needed glamour and class”

Lead Guitarist and Vocalist Kris Faulkner has been playing any instrument with strings since the age of 13. He is the charismatic driving force behind the band with the larger-than-life stage presence. With his on-stage banter almost as quick as his guitar playing, he’s sure to keep everyone well entertained!

Dummer Luke Harrison is the newest addition to the band. In 2011 he held the title of 3rdfastest drummer in the world, narrowly being beaten by drum virtuoso Mike Mangini. He has since turned his talents to perfecting the sort of groovy drum chops that Funk ‘N’ Disorderlyare known for.

The big man with big talent - Stevie Irvine has not only established himself as one of the best keyboardists on the NI music scene, the 6ft 6” Moira born double threat also plays a mean trumpet. The band greatly benefit from both these musical assets!

Bassist Jonny Young is perhaps the bands most impassioned funk enthusiast. His playing is steeped in the influence of modern funk greats Vulfpeck and the effortless fluidity of Stevie Wonder’s Nathan Watts. Jonny himself is almost as smooth as his bass playing.

Evan Russell – What can be said about the band’s youngest member and long-term saxophone player? Chances are if you have already seen the band live nothing needs to be said at all. Evan’s natural stage presence and spicy sax licks make him a crowd favourite.
