Neuro-Psych of Women Aberdeen Seminar

Hi! My name is Lucy, a fourth-year Neuroscience with Psychology student, and alongside my co-planner Kayla, I’m organising an informal seminar taking place on 9th March (date TBC pending venue confirmation), likely from 4–5:30/6pm.

This event aims to bring together women in neuroscience, psychology, and related disciplines to discuss the challenges women face in research, the workplace, and wider STEM environments. It is being run under the umbrella of the Glasgow-based organisation Neuro-Psych of Women (@neuropsychofwomen on Instagram).

The seminar will include a general presentation, talks from both students and lecturers on their research and experiences, and a relaxed networking opportunity at the end.

With a lack of women-focused events within our degrees, we hope to create a supportive space to explore the importance of gender equity in science. The event is free and open to everyone, regardless of degree or background - so feel free to bring friends!

We also welcome participation from attendees, including anyone interested in presenting their research or sharing personal experiences. Please reach out if you’d like to get involved.
