Southport Weekender launches its first London Festival

The 30th year of the weekender sees an eye-watering lineup of international DJs and musicians hit Finsbury Park on 10th June.

Having waved goodbye to Butlin's Resort in Minehead back in 2015, the nomadic Southport Weekender returns refreshed and reinvigorated for its maiden London appearance at Finsbury Park on June 10th.

Boiled down to one day, the festival resumes it's cross-pollinated celebration of quality music, with US house and techno as well represented as soul, disco, hip hop and funk.

 

Some of the highlights include the floor-focused deep house of Kerri Chandler, classic US house from Roger Sanchez, Joey Negro and David Morales and unparalleled turntablism of Jazzy Jeff.

Revered South African DJ Culoe De Song is another highlight, as is DJ Spen, Osunlade, Tony Humphries, Danny Krivit and Detroit techno forefather Juan Atkins.
