The annual Solfest, which this year celebrated its 15th edition in what was most likely the last of the glorious summer sun, has recently stated that it will return next year, after a triumphant 2019 edition.

After initially announcing that this year's Solfest would be the last, it now appears the festival will once again return to its Aspatria home on August bank Holiday weekend, Friday 28th - Sunday 30th August 2020.

Along with overwhelming support from the local community, volunteers and artists that have performed over the years, one of the festivals newly appointed directors, Joe Goulding, has managed to make sufficient changes to the festival and collectively raised enough money via a crowdfunder to fund the 2020 event.

Speaking about the festival, Goulding said, "...the intention was always to try and save it. It’s something the area needs for sure – we want Solfest to be back to its best."

The much needed modifications and significant investment will mean that thousands of revellers will yet again have the chance to witness hundreds of great live acts, such as this years headliners The Coral and Utah Saints, at the festivals beautiful Tarns base, situated between the Solway coast and the dramatic fells of the northern Lake District.
