Liverpool's burgeoning festival scene has added another gem to its glittering crown with the addition of Hope & Glory festival, a riotous celebration of live music in the immediate shadow of one of the city's most domineering landmarks, St George's Hall.

The Hope & Glory line up bristles with a smorgasbord of big names, with James, Ocean Colour Scene, Razorlight and local heroes The Lightning Seeds all playing, alongside a very special Hacienda Classical performance featuring Shaun Ryder and Bez from the Happy Mondays. But it's the depth of experience beyond the music which marks this out as one of the most jaw-dropping debutants on the festival circuit.

Stitching the music together is a Victorian carnival, which will ensure a litany of sideshow attractions for an exotic family friendly show which the organisers have described as 'Charles Darwin meets Tim Burton'. Football legends playing darts for charity, Charlotte Church with a late night pop dungeon and a spoken word arena set in opulent gardens are among the standout attractions.

The event takes place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th August, with Hope & Glory tickets available from the box below.
