Dread Recordings celebrates 25 years at Electric Brixton

Legendary drum n bass label Dread Recordings and its owner DJ Ray Keith will celebrate 25 years in the business at London's Brixton Electric

Owner of the respected Dread Recordings label and legendary breakbeat DJ, Ray Keith will commemorate 25 years since the brands' inception, by throwing a monumental bass driven celebration on Saturday 19th October. 

Known widely as one of the central figures in the birth of the drum n bass and jungle scene, he is one the UK's longest standing and most influential DJs. He has created inspired remixes of renown tracks, including a reworking of Orbitals highest-ever charting single, 'Chimes', and produced multiple jungle anthems, such as 1994's 'Terrorist'.

 

On top of maintaining a successful career within live music, Keith has also launched a handful of additional, equally successful record labels, including Penny Black and UFO, co-founded his own DJ agency, Dread Entertainment Agency and presented radio shows on Vibe FM and Kiss FM.

The upcoming event has confirmed a monstrous bill, including some of the UK's finest bass ambassadors. In the Electric Brixton's' main room, ticket holders can expect to see the likes of drum n bass figurehead GrooveriderBenny LBladerunnerDJ Brockie, Imprint V Recordings label boss and international DJ Bryan Gee.

They can also catch Jumping Jack FrostKenny KenNicky Blackmarket, Hollie May the main man himself Ray Keith, Shimon and some very special guests, still yet to be announced. 

Master of ceremonies Bassman, Blacka, Det, GQ, IC3MC MooseNavigator, UK innovators the Ragga TwinsMC Shabba DSkibadee and SP:MC will all take turns in hosting this mammoth event.
