DJ Fresh & Think Tonk link up with vocal talent Jamie McCool on 'Rivers'
The burgeoning soulful singer created his latest single with help from a powerhouse drum n bass team, including Chase & Status' Liam Bailey, following a chance meeting on the streets of Manchester last summer

Manchester-based, Irish-born vocal talent, Jamie McCool has teamed up with three legends of the UK drum n bass scene, DJ Fresh, Think Tonk and Chase & Status collaborator, Liam Bailey to produce his latest single and soon-to-be anthem of the summer, 'Rivers'.
The story behind this noteworthy link-up is a pretty interesting one... A year in the works, Jamie McCool picked up his guitar and headed out on his usual busking routine last summer. Little did he know, legendary D'N'B talent Think Tonk was about to happen upon his performance. Immediately blown away by his voice and quick to show his appreciation, Think Tonk insisted the pair work on a track together whilst passing the news on to an enthusiastic Liam Bailey who then alerted DJ Fresh.
The newfound powerhouse team then hopped into the studio to refine the highly anticipated project, adding a live brass section, gospel choir, and adlibs from Liam Bailey. Bowled over by the results, DJ Fresh immediately signed the track to his Breakbeat Kaos label, thrilled by the organic talent discovered whose voice deserves to be heard beyond his local streets.
The busker-turned-signed singer-songwriter has since posted acoustic versions of Rivers to his Instagram account, earning him over 118K views and gaining support from well-known names the likes of Maverick Sabre and Professor Green.
The eagerly awaited single is due for release this Friday (24th March). Check out a preview of the track posted by DJ Fresh on Twitter below...
