Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival has added another string to its bow after recently announcing that it has launched its own record label. The Scottish event has long been known for bringing heaps of acts to the Belladrum estate in Inverness yet its latest venture is an exciting and innovative prospect for the organisers.
The first artist to be signed by the festival's independent label is singer - songwriter Tamzene Allison-Power aka Tamzene, a 19-year-old from Cromarty in the Scottish highlands. Debut 'Lullaby' is a soulful opening gambit from the Leeds College of Music student, who will be performing at this year's festival - which takes place between Thursday 3rd and Saturday 5th August. Joe Gibbs, Belladrum Records Director said: “As one of the most exciting new artists we've seen in some time, we're thrilled that Tamzene will be the first act to sign with Belladrum Records. The Highlands has always had a deep natural reservoir of musical talent and we're delighted that these artists have the option of partnering with a strong regionally based label infrastructure- a platform which is also directly associated with one of Scotland’s biggest and best music festivals."
