Big Brave + Outlander

Founded by Robin Wattie and Mathieu Ball in 2012, along with drummer Tasy Hudson, BIG|BRAVE continue explored terrains of experimental rock with a clear focus on the key principles; tension, space, volume, and raw emotion. Sounding many magnitudes bigger than one would suspect a trio is capable of, the essence of their magic has always been the way they balance these dynamics. Whether it be drone to primordial rhythm, precise structure to freedom or fragility to thunderous feedback, these juxtapositions are all crucial in BIG|BRAVE's sonic quest.

They have released 7 full-length records. Feral Verdure 2014 (Build a Fort), Au De La 2015 (Southern Lord), Ardor 2017 (Southern Lord), A Gaze Among Them 2019 (Southern Lord), Vital 2021 (Southern Lord), Leaving None but Small Birds 2021 (Thrill Jockey), nature morte 2023 (Thrill Jockey). They have toured Europe and North America numerous times having played festivals such as Roadburn, Le Guess Who?, Big Ears, Suoni Per Il Popolo and Sled Island.
