Los Wembler’s were one of the main cultivators of the psychadelic cumbia sound of the ‘60s + 70’s. Songs like ‘Sonido Amazonico’ and ‘Danza del Petrolero’ went on to become huge cumbia hits and were later covered by Los Mirlos.

The brothers/band were born and raised in Inquitos - the largest isolated city in the world. It is there they were delved into chicha music, a sound which was confined to small areas of the Amazon and Lima. Now in 2024 the group are back on the road, bringing this near-forgotten genre back to stages to re-introduce the world to chica music.
