Overall rating: 4

Got there quite late - wondering if it would still be worth it...But daedelus was incredible - blew my mind. So so so creative and dynamic - none of us could leave the dance floor as the roller coaster never gave us the chance!...Haven't heard DJing like it for a long time.

Overall rating: 1.5

I purchased these tickets as it was my partners birthday and he is a fan, however we arrived to be told we could not gain entrance until sound system set up. This was at 8.30pm. Tickets suggest to arrive at 7.00pm. We had to stay outside in the rain until we were allowed in. the bar was inadequate. Anti pop didnt come on set until 11.30pm, we had to leave by then as we had to relieve a baby sitter!!! Not very happy at all!! Even the dj in the bar wasnt up to much!!! Extremely disappointed to say the least!

Overall rating: 4.5

I have been to gigs at this venue before and i like it. Its some where a bit diffrent from the usual suspects. As for the line up i thought all of the bands were really good. I think the order they came on in was a bit odd though. Crystal Antlers should have headlined as they whiped up the crowd, Ariel Pink were good but for me not big enpugh for the end of the night. But that all said it was an excellent night!

I generally really love antipop's music, especially as their hiphop seems less serious and very pregressive, however the atmosphere didn't reflect that. Very few were dancing, just nodding at the side looking very-straight faced.
The acoustics were not great although I had imagined urbis to be ana amazing venue, if the stage was set up at the far side it would have worked better.
And even to start it off, we had to go to a pub and wait as the system to let online ticket owners let in wasn't set up yet which is a bit unprofessional.
When antipop themselves played, it was quite fun, people seemed to relax and I just focused on enjoying the music.
Quite funny is how it's "future"sonic and in the other room the DJ only played really old school hiphop!

My main problem was the venue, it was one long corridor. I'm not sure what the hell was going on with the DJs, there was no need for them, a pa feeding the music through from the main room would have been more than enough. As it was impossible to tell when the bands were coming on. And with a £14 fee, there was a consensus amongst the 15 of us that it was not worth the money. The music was very good despite the shocking acoustics, and the atmosphere was languid to say the least.

First time visitor to URBIS and was really surprised in a good way! Accoustics much better than expected. Ariel Pink seemed to struggle with sound but this didn't distract from a fantastic set. Much less shambolic than expected and the crowd "went for it" I'm glad we made the effort of travelling from Sheffield. Great relaxed atmosphere and all the acts seemed to enoy the vibe, chatting away to a very varied audience.
Crystal Antlers created manic sounds in some weird pychedelic blues experiment.
Great Night!
Catch Ap if you can
Cheers
