Hoya Hoya Brilliant Brilliant!

This was my first time at Hoya and I have to say it was fantastic. The music was tip top, the residents have to be some of the best anywhere in the country. A real mix of different styles, and some excellent mixing, particular mentions to Krystal Klear (love his new tunes by the way 1 of which he dropped at the end of his set) and the guy that played later (is he called Jonny Dub?), excellent. Wasn't quite as keen on the guest, noisy Dubstep is not really by cuppa tea but he finished off with some disco classics which brought it back. Superb night, see you next month!

Really good night out - Illum Sphere absolutely killed it!!! Can't believe he played Radiohead and Fela Kuti within 5 minutes of each other....the bass from the Blue Daisy and Om Unit was mad too. Sick night - definitely going again

Beat Hive: Dr Syntax

As soon as I walked into Roudhouse, I could feel the excitement in the air. Dr Syntax was a great choice as headliner due to his energetic presence, he really got the crowd going. Distorted View was as sick as ever with his incredible chat, and Covert absolutely smashed it with his dirty tunes. Every muscle in my body is aching, which is a sign of a bangin' night and I cannot wait until the next Beat Hive!
