A bit hit and miss for me! Some moments of pure genius topped with Saturday love by Cherelle and one of my other all time faves Angie Stone but too many 'popular' funk tunes. Was hoping it would've been edgier (in the positive sense) How about Maxwell, Cheryl Lynn, Mtume, Coffee..... I've had some great nights at Funkademia but sadly this wasn't the best for me!

My first night out in Manchester and it was amazing. It was absolutely buzzing in there. Everyone was sound and had a great night

Trafford Lovething never lets you down....Funkademia was heaving and the music was Excellent. TL made my night by playing Rapper's Delight 'Sugar Hill Gang' and the very wonderful Angie Stone's 'Wish I didn't miss you' at the end of the night. We were the last women standing/dancing......showin the young un's that we KNOW how to parrrrrrrttttttyyyyyyy!!!!!

Really good music and venue but the crowd was full of rowdy girls who couldnt handle their alcohol. If you're going here be prepared to be shoved around, fallen on and girls giving you daggers and generally being *****es with you, other than that it was a really good night.

Sick show from the 2, audience participation, cheap CD sales after, good venue too. More Bounce need to put on more hip-hop gigs

Music played by dj Mike Shaft was excellent, setting the scene for a great performance by Melba Moore and her band.
Venue was a disappointment, a bit grubby.
Melba Moore was fantastic, still has a great voice and vocal range - holding those long notes with ease. Sang mainly old tunes paying homage to McFadden & Whitehead, was hoping for more well known tunes like "Falling", "Been So Long" and my fav "Living For Your Love" or even her newish release "Love Is".
Overall though a good night.

superb night at the mint lounge . melba and the band were incredible . a real coup for the promoters to bring melba to manchester , well done boys . i've been waiting a long time to see this lady and she didn't let us down . right up there with my all time favourite live performances. it was that good . lovely to meet the lady afterwards . a true star. shorty.

Music wasn't great - not anywhere near as good as when Trafford Lovething does his thing! There were a few good tracks played particularly the gewn guthrie/rhianna remix but unfortunately not the best night i've had!
