It's been way too long - back in the Before Times - since we welcomed The Spiritual Bat to our stage. One of the finest acts from Italy's thriving scene, and boasting a substantial worldwide following, we're delighted to be bringing them back to Leeds! A coruscating blend of batcave, post-punk and honest-to-goodness old-school goth, this heavy-gigging band are renowned for the power and passion of their live shows.

Back by popular demand are special guests Feather Trade - darkly melodic post-punk from Manchester and Athens, GA, with a mesmerising live presence!

Mixing dark electronics, loud guitars and melodic bass, Punch Drunk Shills explore the liminal space between humanity and technology while laying down infectious dance grooves.
The brain child of multi-instrumentalist producers Ian FTG ( Zeitgeist Zero, Smurphs, Rhombus, etc) and Graham Graham (Atlantic Mirrors, Scuzzy, Supercreeps etc), Punch Drunk Shills draw on a combined history in goth, punk, electronica, jazz, folk and musical theatre to present something both original and compelling.

Carpe Noctum is the biggest and longest-running regular goth club in the north of England, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Our resident DJs HGV and Misrule boast a wealth of experience, with residencies at illustrious Leeds club nights such as Flock and Black Lodge under their belts, alongside guest appearances at clubs and festivals throughout the North, including repeat appearances at Goth City Festival, Tomorrow's Ghosts, and Infest. Weaving sets from a broad palette of dark alternative genres and subgenres, fuelling and fuelled by the dancefloor, their ethos is that the party is all! Expect tracks old and new, bona-fide classics and hidden gems, foot-stompers and lightbulb-changers.

The Lending Room is Leeds' finest big small venue! With state-of-the-art lighting, PA and engineers, you can get up-close-and-personal with some of the best acts around today, and still sidle back to the bar in short order. Please note the Lending Room is an upstairs venue with no level access.
