Ninja Tune veteran & supreme selector Mr. Scruff will be joining forces with Chorley's finest, the original sound killer Mikey D.O.N for a 6 hour B2B session from 7pm-1am, serving up a proper mixed bag of music. Hip-hop, soul, reggae, house, disco and whatever else feels right on the night.

The beer garden will be open from 12pm, the bar will be serving cold beers and Kanteena's kitchen will be open!
Pre party in the beer garden from 1-7pm, powered by our mates from Darwen, Demented Disco. 
Main Room open from 7pm w/ Mr Scruff & Mikey D.O.N 6 Hour Set
Our upstairs Atika bar will be open from 1am for those that want to stay a little longer!

Mr Scruff

Having recorded for well over 25 labels including elite names such as Warp & Ninja Tune, Mr Scruff started his musical journey making tapes way back in 1983, finally making it to dj booths and ‘playing out’ 10 years later. 

Gigs all around the world haven’t come easy for venues as as many have been turned down as they have been accepted. He wants 6 hours on the decks so that's what we’re giving him Lancaster and we’re all gonna be heading on a journey through his record box most likely taking in plenty of disco, ska, reggae, house and afro beats!!

Mikey D.O.N

Another name we’re delighted to finally get on the wheels of steels here at Kanteena. Another fan and player of multi genre sets, Mikey is impossible to nail down to any specific style or genre. Following in his fathers footsteps in setting up a sound system when he was only 12 years old, founding Krispy 3, one of the UKs first sound systems, a known mc on the Blackburn Acid House scene are some of the highlights of a career that started almost 50 years ago.
