About York Dungeon Standard Admission

York Dungeon Standard Admission takes visitors through 2,000 years of York’s darker history. The attraction uses live actors, immersive sets and special effects to bring the city’s past to life, with scenes featuring Vikings, their Saxon enemies, Guy Fawkes and Isabella Billington.

The experience also includes the Black Death and a torture chamber, with sights, sounds and scents used as part of the storytelling.

Younger visitors must be aged 5 or over, and York Dungeon is not recommended for under 8s.
