The attraction uses live actors, immersive sets and special effects to present scenes from the city’s past, with Vikings, Saxons, Guy Fawkes, Isabella Billington, the Black Plague and a torture chamber among the stories featured.

The experience is designed as a theatrical journey where you see, hear and smell different parts of York’s murky history as the stories unfold around you.
