York Dungeon - Anytime Entry at York Dungeon takes you through 2,000 years of York’s darkest history in a live experience with actors, immersive sets and special effects. You see, hear and smell the city’s murky past as it is brought to life around you.
The show brings together Vikings and their Saxon enemies, along with some of York’s most notorious figures, including Guy Fawkes and Isabella Billington. It also includes scenes inspired by the Black Death and the fearsome torture chamber.
This is a history-led attraction that mixes storytelling, humour and theatrical presentation, giving a vivid look at York’s more notorious past.
Key facts: Anytime entry ticket. Children aged 5 and over can attend, but it is not recommended for under 8s.
