About York Dungeon - Anytime Entry

York Dungeon - Anytime Entry takes visitors through 2,000 years of York’s darker history at the York Dungeon. The experience brings the city’s past to life through live actors, immersive sets and special effects, with scenes designed to be seen, heard and, as described by the operator, smelled.

Along the way, you come face to face with Vikings and learn about their Saxon enemies, before meeting figures from York’s history including Guy Fawkes and Isabella Billington. The experience also covers the Black Plague and the torture chamber, presenting history as a theatrical walk-through rather than a traditional museum visit.

Children must be aged 5 and over. The York Dungeon is not recommended for under 8s.
