Our Spring concert this year contains two works by Haydn. So called for the large wind section or "Harmonie", the Harmoniemesse was his 6th and arguably finest late mass. "Insanae et Vanae Curae", was originally part of the oratorio Il ritorno di Tobia that was reworked into a sacred motet for soprano, tenor, chorus, and orchestra .
Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 8 is commonly known as the unfinished symphony and is among his most beautiful works. The first two movements were completed in full, while only first two pages of the scherzo exist.
