Lesley Smith is a well known historian with a particular interest in the 16th century. Anne Hathaway, wife of William Shakespeare, is a fascinating character as so little is known about her but there are intriguing nuggets of fact to explore. Lesley cleverly weaves her way through the facts filled in with wonderfully colourful imagery of what life was like for the middling classes at this time. All the fun and drama ... come and meet Mistress Shakespeare!
